This was the band's very 1st time performing overseas, you bet we were all so excited!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">This trip was organised by The Ark Cafe to promote the cafe's 1st compilation CD, which included 2 originals of Azure! 1 customer even requested for our autograph on the CD he bought!</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">The music cafe scene in Msia is still very vibrant, and the customers were very supportive!</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">We were also happy to do our part to get customers to donate money for the Sichuan Earthquake Fund.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">We put up an acoustic performance since the cafes do not provide drums and full band equipment. Been to his last 2 concerts in Singapore. Missed his 1st one at Suntec though, was still serving NS that time. =(<br /><br /></span><div><div><div><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;">Have always like his songs very much since his very 1st album, this explains why there are many Jay's songs in Azure's repertoire. =P</span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;">Jay Chou is no doubt the most popular male singer in Chinese Pop at the moment, thus we always receive many song requests in Muchuan requesting for his songs. So naturally we will always prepare his songs. </span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;">As for outdoor shows, somehow the audience will have more 共鸣 when we perform Jay Chou's rock songs especially 《霍元甲》... hmm... cos most people heard these songs before... </span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;"></span></div><div><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;">He is indeed talented la...wrote many good songs for himself as well as other singers. The previous concert played piano, chinese flute and drums. This time round, other than piano &amp; drums, also played guitar, Gu Zhen, even do Chinese traditional 'stunt' Che Ling. Not forgetting he dances quite a bit as well... Was very excited cause the last time he was here was in 2003. He has always been my No.1 idol since primary school days. This explains why I like to mimic him and even won Aaron Kwok Impersonation Champion before. LOL.<br /><br />Aaron has always been a very hardworking artiste, from dancer to singer to award winning actor. There was a time when he was labelled just a pretty face who cannot sing, but he proved the critics wrong and improved alot on his singing since the 《当我知道你们相爱》album. All the 10 songs in the album were slow ballads, as he wanted to put the emphasis on his vocals. Watched all his concerts in SG since 2001, singing and dancing non stop on stage without any pitching problem. He is indeed a "Heavenly King"!<br /><br />I didn't bring my camera last Sat so that I can enjoy watching the concert w/o snapping photos now and then like the previous times. We performed 7 songs including 3 of our originals. It was great to watch all the very outstanding local Chinese rock bands perform.
